A basic guide on how to start training yourself before your first session even begins.

  • The best time to start was yesterday. Don’t let online personalities make fitness seems like you need to be in a “perfect” position to get started.

  • No matter what happens; whether you don’t hit that PR, that weight target, or that new exercise, NEVER quit. You will get where you want to be so long as you never quit.

  • Week 1 feels awkward. Week 4 feels normal. Week 12? You’re a different person. Keep pushing that boulder uphill — soon it rolls on its own.

Mindset Shift

  • Protein helps repair muscle and keep you full. Add a source to every meal: eggs, meat, shakes, yogurt.
